Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a challenging period, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and finally splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily advanced in the past month - culminating in a closely contested three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court from spring of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is particularly special," commented ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his last six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular emotional displays on court had caused some to wonder if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to come to the net and play aggressively, supported by an improved serve.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He defended four early-game chances in a competitive final set before the champion broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured victory with a point at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
