WHere is a home-style take on a drink from the seasonal drinks list. Designed as a batch pre-mixed that is packed with essence of a Christmas time, making it excellent for your festive gathering. Reserve the remaining cordial you can use for morning drinks, puddings, or to make another batch of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 people
For the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (makes 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
For the Citrus Syrup: Place the listed items into a saucepan, bring to a light boil, stirring so the sugar melts. Then, remove from the burner and let it to cool fully. Pour into a sealable bottle, seal and store in the fridge, it can be stored for around four weeks.
For the Batch Mix: Combine every liquids into one big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it , ideally through muslin, so it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of the batch mix into your mixing glass packed with ice, and stir carefully for a minute to chill. Strain into an cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries adding the final touch with a quick spritz of the essential oil over the top.
