Cars in German City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Police
Officers mentioned they were notified by a resident who noticed a car in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Around 50 vehicles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Police then located many other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement state early analysis show the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to where it came from; investigators are presently not informed of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the community for tips.

An important political figure stated the vandalism rendered him speechless and needed to be addressed quickly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, recalling the murder of nine people by a assailant focusing on residents of migrant background in five years prior.
